The changing and emerging needs for staff support of our diocesan mission strategy, especially as related to congregational development, require a reallocation of resources and restructuring of our diocesan staff. As a result, the position of Assistant to the Bishop and Communications Officer, now held by Mary Beth Jorgensen, will not be continued beyond December 31, 2008.
With heartfelt thanksgiving for the invaluable ministry Mary Beth has offered so faithfully and generously, we wish her every blessing in her future ministry. She will indeed be missed. Her countless contributions have made a great and lasting difference for all she has served so well.

A note from Mary Beth:
Dear Friends,
It has been a privilege, an honor, and a blessing to serve this diocese as your communications officer, Bishop Waggoner as his assistant, and so many of your ministries as staff liaison over these past several years. As I begin this new chapter in my own professional life and ministry, please know that you are in my prayers of thanksgiving. Know, too, that I pray for our continued courage and faithfulness in sharing both God’s Word and the story of this rich and wonderful diocese and denomination of ours.
We may be a relatively small diocese, but we are mighty in our witness, in our leadership, and in our care for each other. I look forward to what the future brings, and to what we can, with God’s help, do together.
Always in Christ’s love,
Mary Beth
