Faith Stories Retreat  (March 13)
Holy Trinity, Grangeville, ID, will host a Faith Stories Retreat from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on March 13.  Leader will be Tom Riley, president of Faith Alive, a national ministry within the Episcopal Church.  Participants are asked to bring a lunch.  The church is at 311 S. Regional Clergy Days Continue Next Week
Bishop Waggoner will meet with clergy from the Spokane-Colville and Kootenai deaneries March 9 at St. John’s Cathedral in Spokane. The Snake River and Yakima deaneries will meet March 11 at Holy Trinity, Sunnyside.  Both meetings are from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.  For additional information visit www.spokanediocese.org or contact your dean.

Spiritual Direction and Narrative  (March 20)
Dr. Janet Ruffing of Yale Divinity School will lead a spiritual direction workshop from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 20 at Jepson Hall on the Gonzaga University campus. The workshop is sponsored by Gonzaga’s Religious Studies Department and St. Joseph Family  Center.  The workshop is intended for spiritual mentors, directors, pastors and others who are interested  in growing in appreciation of the sacred stories of others.  The $30 registration fee includes lunch.  For information contact Sr. Celeste Crine at 509.483.6495.

Flannery Lecture: “Empty Religion”  (March 18)
Dr. Luke Timothy Johnson will present the Flannery  Lecture at 7:30 p.m. March 18 at Cataldo Hall on the Gonzaga University campus.  Theme is “Empty Religion:  Islam and Christianity’s Common Peril.”  Johnson is Professor of New Testament at Candler School of Theology, Emory University in Atlanta.  A prolific author, his current research concerns the literary, moral and religious dimensions of the New Testament.  The lecture is free and open to the public.
