Conversation on Climate, Coal  (June 9)
The Faith & Environment Network and Earth Ministry/WashingtonInterfaith Power & Light will host  a faithful conversation about climate and coal at 6:30 p.m. on June 9 at St. Aloysius Church (by the Gonzaga campus). The gathering is  in the Antonian Room (in the parish center across the street from the church), at 330 East Boone. Click here for directions.

The gathering will include clergy reflections on the oil spill in the Gulf, information on faith traditions and creation care, and an overview of coal pollution in Washington State. There  will also be a review of the American Power Act, an important climate and energy bill now in the U.S. Senate.

Men’s Weekend at Camp Cross  (June 11-13)
Today, June 8, is the registration deadline for the Camp Cross Men’s Weekend, June 11-13.  Theme of the weekend is “The Baptismal Covenant and how it applies to our everyday life.” The weekend will focus on reading and discussing the baptismal covenants, and it will encourage all participants to relate their own stories about their baptismal promise and vows.  Men’s Weekend begins at 5 p.m. on June 11 and concludes at 3 p.m. on Sunday.  Cost for the weekend is $85.  To register, visit the Camp Cross website here.

Anti-Racism Training at Moses Lake  (Aug. 13-15)
The Anti-Racism Task Force will present “Seeing the Face of God in One Another”   Aug. 13-15 in Moses Lake.   Anti-Racism training is required of all clergy, all persons in the ordination process, and all lay leadership of the diocese (Council, Standing Committee, and vestries ) pursuant to the directions of the General Convention, the Diocese of Spokane,  and the Executive Council.  The event begins at 7 p.m.  Friday , Aug. 13 and concludes at 1 p.m. on Sunday.  Meals will be provided but accommodations are the responsibility of the participants.  For more information about registration and accommodations, contact the Rev. June Integrity/ Dignity Meeting Cancelled
Spokane Integrity/Dignity will NOT meet on June 12 , the regularly scheduled meeting date.  The next meeting will be July 10  at the Park Bench in Manito Park on Spokane’s South Hill for lunch at noon.

Correction: Summer Hours at Paulsen House  (June-August)
Paulsen House, the diocesan office, will observe summer hours between Memorial Day and Labor Day.  The office will open at 8:30 a.m. and close at 4 p.m.

ECVA Seeks Art Submissions
“Will you strive for justice and peace among all people, and respect the dignity of every human being? I will, with God’s help” is the theme for submissions to the current Episcopal Church Visual Arts (ECVA) art exhibition by Episcopal artists.  To join the artists’ registry and/ or to learn more about this exhibition, visit ECVA.   Deadline is August 15.
