In Memoriam – The Rev. Michael Long

Deacon Michael Long, who served at St. Andrew’s, Spokane, died Oct. 29. Mike came to this diocese in 1996 after having been ordained in the Diocese of San Diego in 1992. A retired Navy CHC, he served with the First Marine Division in Vietnam and was awarded the Bronze Star. He is survived by his wife, Marion, his son Ted and daughter-in-law Janet, and grandchildren. Funeral services were held at St. Andrew’s on Saturday, November 3. Bishop Waggoner presided and the Rev. Nolan Redman, rector of St. Andrew’s, was the preacher.
