WaterMark

Extended Deadline April 30

Watermark is a new program developed by the Episcopal Diocese of Spokane with a focus on giving the next generation of Christian leaders an opportunity both to shape and be shaped by ministry at both the local and diocesan levels. Through work placements in local congregations, the community and the diocese interns will be given the task of identifying local needs and mobilizing congregational and diocesan resources in order to construct a compelling witness to the Gospel. This program will develop and teach them how to serve as leaders in their churches, dioceses and local communities.

As this is a first year of the program, this class of interns will have the unique opportunity of making a lasting impact on the program for subsequent classes. Interns should be prepared to take an active role in developing the program, reflecting on its strengths and weaknesses and providing insight in how the program should be tweaked for future classes.

Interns will receive a stipend of $500 a month along with basic utilities, housing and health insurance. In addition interns are expected to raise or pay $5000 towards the cost of the program. This should not be viewed as an obstacle and assistance will be given in locating potential sources of funding.

If you have any questions about this program please feel free to contact Bryan Krislock at bryank@spokanediocese.org.
