  • Demonstrates the ability to effectively use the Book of Common Prayer and the Book of Occasional Services
  • Demonstrates knowledge of the worship services that may be led by those who are not ordained, including:
    • Morning and Evening Prayer
    • Compline
    • The Great Litany
    • Reconciliation of the Penitent
    • Ministration of the Sick
    • Ministration at the Time of Death
    • Burial of the Dead
    • Festival of Lessons and Carols
  • Demonstrates public speaking skills.
  • Demonstrates the ability to read and interpret rubrics.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of the church year and the ability to determine ecclesiastical dates
  • Demonstrates basic knowledge of the Bible and its organization.
  • Demonstrates the ability to find assigned readings for services of worship.
  • Demonstrates the ability to plan and execute a service of worship, including appropriate hymns and prayers.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of vestments and other related practical matters related to executing public services of worship.
