- Demonstrates familiarity with the Eucharistic liturgy including words, mechanics of the service, variety of rites, and prayer options
- Demonstrates respect for the sacrament
- Demonstrates ability to administer the paten, the chalice, and the approved method(s) of intinction
- Demonstrates awareness and sensitivity to people with varying needs, i.e. children, people with special physical or mental needs, people from other local Eucharistic customs
