Competencies
- Demonstrates knowledge of Bible, church history, and doctrine of the Church as found in Creeds and Catechism especially as it applies to helping people prepare for the next stage of discipleship
- Demonstrates the ability to trace the history of the catechumenate (i.e., in regard to becoming a disciple in the Body of Christ)
- Understands the difference between membership and discipleship
- Demonstrates teaching skills
- Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of the Book of Common Prayer especially as it applies to Baptism, Confirmation, Reception and Reaffirmation of Baptismal Vows
- Demonstrates the ability to teach the basic tenets of Christianity
- Demonstrates a knowledge of Anglicanism in comparison with other Christian traditions
