Introduction
The following is a broad overview of the formation required for ordination to the diaconate and the priesthood in the Episcopal Diocese of Spokane. The canonical requirements are given, as well as further formation required by this diocese. This document should be viewed as an overview, a guide for planning, not a complete listing of all that is necessary. The task of formation is never taken by oneself, but in community, the planning of this formation should also be undertaken in community, get help from the appropriate people, ask questions, seek guidance.
