The 44th Annual Convention of the Diocese of Spokane was held Oct 17-19, 2008 at Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist.
Convention is an annual gathering of delegates and clergy from every congregation in the diocese to serve as the legislative body of the diocese and discern God’s calling for the Episcopal Church in Eastern Washington and Northern Idaho.
Business items include review of Resolutions proposed by committees, commissions, and individuals, speaking to a variety of topics and the election of various officers and committee members of the Diocese.
In addition to business, program is a major element of the Convention with time spent in workshops, small groups, plenary and worship, all reflecting on this year’s theme: Living a Scandalous Gospel.
