As a part of the Renewing Our Mission campaign, 2006-2008, the Foundation created two endowments: The Endowment for the Episcopate, and The Endowment for Congregational Growth and Development. A third endowment, The Endowment for Camp Cross has been a recent addition.
- The Endowment for the Episcopate is intended to become the primary support for the cost of the bishop’s compensation package, and, in time, for additional costs associated with the office of bishop. The result will be a significant reduction in congregational “askings.”
- The Endowment for Congregational Growth and Development is to become a source for grants underwriting new ventures in congregational ministry, revitalization of existing congregations and an aid to planting new congregations.
- The Endowment for Camp Cross will eventually be able to underwrite a significant portion of Camp Cross expenses, thus assuring the ongoing ministry of our most important diocesan asset.
