The Spokane Diocese offers matching grants of up to $500 for international humanitarian projects in line with the United Nation’s Millenium Development Goals. More information is found in the form.

2014 Diocesan Domestic Poverty Matching Grant

The diocesan Social Justice and Outreach Ministries Commission, and its Poverty Fund is offering the 2014 diocesan funds ($3,500) for local congregational grants on a first come first served basis. The intention is to foster new or expanded Poverty Fund initiatives in local churches, and to encourage diocesan-wide involvement in the essential, Gospel-based work to eliminate extreme poverty in our domestic communities.

The John Shepard Award

The John Shepard Award for Excellence is given out at Annual Convention each October to a congregation that is deemed to have done outstanding work in stewardship for the year. Accolades as well as a $1,000 check are given to recipients of the award. The deadline for applications in September 20.
