Diocesan Elections

  • Regional Delegates to Diocesan Convention
    • Every spring, each of the four Regions of the Diocese will elect a delegation of three (3) Regional Delegates to represent their Region at the Annual Diocesan Convention.  The Regional Delegates will prepare and serve in the same way as Congregational Delegates with seat, voice, and vote on the Convention floor.  As such, Regional Delegates will study all pre-Convention materials and will attend all necessary pre- and post-Convention gatherings to share information about the life and work of Diocesan Convention.Regional Delegate to Diocesan Convention is a one-year term.
  • Diocesan Council
    • Every fall, each of the four Regions of the Diocese will elect one (1) member of Diocesan Council. Members of Diocesan Council are charged to oversee the Mission & Ministry of the Diocese of Spokane. The four Committees of Diocesan Council are: Administration & Finance, Mission Strategy, Formation, and Social Justice & Outreach Ministries. Diocesan Council is always looking for effective leaders with the ability to transform creative vision into concrete mission.Diocesan Council is athree-year term.
  • Eligibility Requirements
    • CANON 17: Of Regulations Respecting the Laity
      • Sec. 1 (a) All persons who have received the Sacrament of Holy Baptism with water in the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, whether in this Church or in another Christian Church, and whose Baptisms have been duly  recorded in this Church, are members thereof. (b) Members sixteen years of age and over are to be considered adult members.
      • Sec. 2 (a) All members of this Church who have received Holy Communion in this Church at least three times during the preceding year are to be considered communicants of this Church. (b) For the purposes of statistical consistency throughout theChurch, communicants sixteen years of age and over are to be considered adult communicants.
      • Sec. 3. All communicants of this Church who for the previous year have been faithful in corporate worship, unless for good cause prevented, and have been faithful in working, praying, and giving for the spread of the Kingdom of God, are to be considered communicants in good standing.
