The Goal

To engage Episcopalians in the Diocese of Spokane in a 2011 Lenten mission initiative to address the real human need of hunger, by committing 0.7% of their income to local and global hunger ministries.

Second, the OFM planning team is now scheduling congregational visits to solicit 6-10 congregations for participation in the 2011 Lenten mission initiative.  Stay tuned — and ready!

Participating congregations will be asked to send teams of five to a training weekend January 7-9.  These teams of five will then work with OFM planning team coaches to plan and implement their congregation’s 2011 Lenten initiative.  Participating congregations will be recognized and prayed for during our October diocesan convention at the Cathedral in Spokane.

Organizing for Mission is a partnership between the Episcopal Diocese of Spokane, Episcopalians for Global Reconciliation (E4GR), and the Episcopal Church Foundation.
