Session #1: Being Church in the 21st Century
A presentation by the Presiding Bishop

What does it mean to the church in the 21st century? To be the Episcopal Church? What vision is developing in light of the changing landscape of ministry and membership? Are we open to rethinking, even reinventing how we function? What kinds of structural changes are needed to allow us to respond effectively to the changing landscape of ministry? What risks is the Spirit inviting us to take in this new day?

Session #2: Leadership & Spirituality for the 21st Century
A conversation with the Presiding Bishop

What qualities of leadership are needed in the evolving church? What new models of ministry are being called forth (e.g. leaders as educators and advocates)? Is the nature of orders changing in the light of a changing church and culture? How can we best encourage our young adults in ministry and how may we best equip and support them for leadership? What practices and attitudes help to create healthy and whole leaders?

Session #3: Being a Local & Global Church in the 21st Century
A conversation with the Presiding Bishop

What does it mean for the Episcopal Church to be a member of the Anglican Communion today? What are the most critical social, environmental, geopolitical and theological issues we face as a communion? How can we best collaborate globally, regionally, and locally to address the challenges we face? What are the implications of these challenges for the life of our congregations?

What to bring?: Warm clothes for layering, hiking boots, prayer book/hymnals, journals & notepads, cameras.
